EduCare, creating space for kids to be kids.

19.7 million
South African
school children
are currently
not in school.

81%* of them
do not have
access to tablets,
internet or video
classrooms.

That’s 16 million
kids
without
anything to
keep their
minds active.

* As per National Education Infrastructure Management Systems Report 2018

The stats are alarming. With your help we’d like to do something about this.

WHO ARE WE?

As a leading tech innovator in the education space, Thought Africa has direct access to a network of high profile thought leaders that support rural schools in need throughout South Africa.

WHAT’S THE PLAN?

We will be deploying all our resources to make sure that 100,000 EduCare Packs are delivered to the children that need them the most in the shortest time frame possible.

HOW WILL THIS HELP?

While poverty and disadvantaged children are not foreign knowledge, we have once again failed to act with radical solutions to assist millions of youth during a time when they need it most.

WHY BACKPACKS?

These EduCare Backpacks will serve as an entry point into the 4th Industrial Revolution for thousands of children, helping them develop thinking skills for jobs that don’t exist yet.

The current turmoil has created an even bigger awareness for Thought Africa to find and implement a solution. But we need your help.

There is such a small percentage of parents in South Africa who have the privilege of being able to use technology to search for activities to keep their kids busy. This EduCare Backpack not only gives hope but educates and helps these kids to think differently during this uncertain time.

Why the EduCare Pack?

We came to realise that we were failing to connect “privileged” Thinkers with not so privileged Thinkers. In short, we provide a pack of goodies to kids in underprivileged areas. Our EduCare pack connects our new Thinkers to WhatsApp. (0842226924) Once we are connected, Thinkers are incentivised to complete additional #ThinkersPlay Challenges to earn DATA and WIN monthly prizes.

How can I keep track of this campaign?

Our Thought Africa support team will be sending out consistent updates via our social media channels and our newsletter, as well as through public media directly. Should you have any further questions, please feel free to email: care@thought.africa
