Why the #ThinkersPlay 3D Design Challenge?

Learn 3D Design Online

From the comfort of your home and by flexing those creative thinking skills, this 3D Design Course has been created to refine your way of thinking about a future we can’t yet predict.

Access to quality education in today’s day and age is few and far between. More often than not we are taught in a way that helps us develop understanding and transfer information.

How does our 3D Design Course differ?

Learning for the sake of clear application. We are here to help you further develop your understanding but with a real-life problem that needs to be solved and can physically be done so once you have completed your challenge.

and watch your ideas come to life.

The art of 3D Design allows us to use our imagination, construct a product and watch it come to life. Creating real-life products which we are passionate about, to help achieve a Global Goal has proven time and again, that no matter how small, every voice and every action can make a difference.

The mission behind our challenge is to bring awareness to the United Nations 17 Sustainable Goals and how we can incorporate them when we are designing products or solutions.

Hint: Keep in mind what you have already noticed to be a problem in your home, community, country or the world and how you could create a solution to that problem, using 3D printing. As an example, (see link) a physician was able to construct an emergency ventilator mask to protect medical personal fighting COVID-19, by adjusting a snorkelling mask already available on the market.

With the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals

By identifying 1 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, this will create the structure for where you get to show off your creative ideas and launch them to life!

In 2015 governments from around the world met at the United Nations (UN) where they agreed to a new set of Global Goals for the development of the world by 2030. Therefore, 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were decided. To find out more information about the UN SDGs 17 watch this brief overview here: UN SDG 17
Thought Africa is a company that exists to help bridge the gap between having access to quality education and stimulating innovative, critical thinking skills to children and young adults by deeply rooting ourselves in the mission to achieve the above mentioned United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 17.
